This piece screams at full volume, to me, the absolute need for a shareholders association to counter, argue the assertion that Freddie and Fannie need to go. What these assertions lack is real reasons why - what comes through loud and clear this writer wants them to go, but compelling reasons are nonexistent. No one is countering these silly assertions. Shareholder rights aren't even mentioned. This guy wants to hurry up the process, it seems, while they still owe in the tens of billions. Where are the counter arguments? We are wasting that moment in time that when it passes it will be gone forever. I just don't understand the reluctance in some, absolute resistance in others to stand up and be heard in these matters. Fannie and Freddie are good for America in that they keep the American Dream alive for the little guy - it's mandated in their corporate charters to do so..
