to me
I have no idea what happened with them. They were calling a portion of the 40,000acres part of their project but they are not under lease. They may still be planning on building their project but you would need to contact them to find out.

Response from Mr Martinez about above article.. Crockett county commissioner.

Not a problem at all. I can understand your concern because this article isn't clear on who the landowners are other than it was formerly the Noelke Hill Wind Ranch. I can also see the confusion on how it states ''and Spinning Star Energy Smart Wind Ranch projects.'' It reads almost as though Spinning Star owns a ranch and has purchased the land out there.

Our agreement is with Spinning Star Energy, L.L.C. http://spinningstarenergy.com/Projects.html
It is not another company coming in either. We agreed to designate a reinvestment zone in that part of our county because we didn't want to have the whole county open to other companies coming in and putting up windfarms all over the place. Any wind farm company that comes in will have to meet with us and sign the same agreement we have with Spinning Star Energy L.C.C.
They are ''seeking a qualified developer capable of starting construction on the project...'' which means they are looking for someone to build it for them but it's not a different company starting another wind farm project.
I hope the website can help clear some of the confusion too but it seems to me that this is where the problem is. The website states: ''Spinning Star is developing a 615 MW Spinning Star Energy Smart Wind Ranch™ in West Texas (the "Project" or "Smart Wind Ranch™").'' Hope this helps!

Does this mean CIELO / RES AMERICAS backed out... Or something else.
Not sure here who is doing the searching for a developer...???

Also remember.. The map shows they are only talking about PHASE 1 of the original project.. Phase 2 still exists as it relates to TEXAS UT LAND DEAL in Regan county we signed early and towers approved by FAA website..
