My uncle told me once about how he had the opportunity (risk) to invest in a small start-up computer company in the mid 80's. The cost of stock was $0.35 The company was a small, garage shop operation and they were late with their revolutionaly product,so he passed on the chance.
The company is much more well known today... perhaps you have heard of it. The name is Apple Computer.
