In partnership with Orchard Software Corporation, Wyndgate will be upgrading Cameron Hospital's blood bank from its current paper-based process to an electronic record system. As one of the many benefits of the upgrade, once the conversion is complete, the blood bank will be able to electronically interface with the hospital's laboratory and other facilities for the first time.

"Our staff decided to purchase Wyndgate's transfusion management system for its comprehensive functionality as well as its ease-of-use. The system's well-planned capabilities will facilitate the automation of many processes currently being performed manually, which will increase our efficiency and safety," stated Claudia Bergdoll, Cameron Hospital Laboratory Director. Ms. Bergdoll further stated, "As a facility that is transitioning from a paper-based system to a computerized system, a key factor that led us to select Wyndgate is the expertise of their support staff and their proven record of successfully guiding other hospitals through this process."

Wm. Scott Dustin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Wyndgate Technologies, commented, "Cameron Memorial Community Hospital is committed to serving the needs of its community by continually enhancing the way it delivers healthcare. We are honored that they have chosen our system to automate the management of their transfusion services. We share their commitment to quality healthcare and it is our pleasure to be involved with their conversion."
