The mining Ministry yesterday submitted a first study of minerals found in Mallku Khota and dismissed that there are large reserves of minerals, as reported by the South American Silver Corporation, which previously was responsible for mineral exploration.
The deposits were reverted to the State fulfilling a request made by the herders in the area last year and who are interested in the exploitation of minerals.
"We cannot say that you either an atentados. That is not evident, up to what we have seen. It has minerals of interest is evident, but not in the dimension that was announced (...). Most think that they (the company) have overestimated reserves to grow the value of their shares on the stock exchange,"said the holder of mining, Mario Virreyra. (LE)
