it's been stated/rumored multiple times on this mb that creditors (ex-lawyers), probably/possibly screwed up some of the legal work they did - which led to some of the legal problems they had in mexico (rumored to be solved).
so rumor has it that ex-lawyers would not consider foreclosing debt, for fear of being sued for malpractice. and hence, would continue to renew deal. - just like they did last time - and the time before, etc.
two points proving rumors are likely true:
1) if they were going to foreclose, why haven't they on previous 3 opportunities?
2) last time, the payment date came and went - and nothing happened, and months later, there was a renewal.
imo, this is a non-event.
imo, the creditors (ex-lawyers) are rooting very hard for $100 million deal to close - so they can get as far away from uspr as possible.
imo, there is no renewal at this time because they are waiting to see if/when the new deal closes.
