Entech Solar’s SolarVolt CPV product can produce the highest return on investment for customers in areas with high, continuous direct normal irradiation (DNI), high electricity prices and maximum incentives (federal, state and/or local). The CPV product is ideally suited to provide utility grade electricity for large power users in the commercial, industrial, institutional, government and electric utility sectors. DNI is the radiation coming directly from the sun and does not include diffused radiation that occurs on cloudy days. The map below illustrates ideal DNI regions with darker oranges and reds. High DNI areas in the USA include: Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, West Texas, and Colorado. Outside the USA high DNI regions exists in: South American, Southern Spain, Portugal, Southern Italy, Northern Africa, Australia, the Middle East and large parts of China, among others.
