They've got a big problem with the iG4. According to a telephone converstion with a former shareholder, the Medical Director stated that Raman Spectroscopy can't see thru plastic and since the iG4 allegedly uses RS, the iG4 is quite limited.

I believe his view has changed otherwise they're in big, big trouble making the iG4 useful since so many meds are contained in plastic.

Of course the real problem is measuring molar concentration of a drug. If you read their PR's and listen to CDEX's U-tube presentation with Dr Poteet they dance around they subject imo.

I'm sure the one Raman Spectrometer that they purchased off-the-shelf works just fine identifing drugs. What they need to do is built a library using it and then hope they can reverse engineer the unit and come up with the necessary software to run it.

Once that is acomplished they need to figure out how to measure concentration without interferring with the RS signals. Oh that's right, it's all explained in great detail in their new patent application- use an appropiate filter.

But seriously, I find it interesting how they plan on measuring molar concentration without the use of a cuvette to create a well-defined pathway for the measurment.

My thought is they can't do it.
