Microsoft's crackerjack PR-meister Frank Shaw is none to pleased with my earlier post. But I'm still waiting to hear how Gates -- and now Ozzie -- plan to turn the trick.
Now comes the meat of the performance: Microsoft's talking about an uber advertising engine called adCenter that will power its push to grow the company's advertising revenues. This is where things are getting interesting.
Microsoft says it has about 10% of the advertising market and wants to grow that share. Until now, the company's outsourced this technology to Overture. But Microsoft's been testing its upcoming advertising engine in Singapore and France. Ozzie's ebullient about the prospects. We'll see.
The company just brought a product manager to demo Windows Live. Let's see.
