Rumors are VA's gov Bob McDonnell, who has long pushed for off-shore drilling, will become a lobbyist for the oil industry after leaving office this year proposed in his State of the State address proposed that the state's sales tax be increased to 5.8%, while the gasoline tax be eliminated.
McDonnell also proposed an increase in the fee for auto registration - calling it a "fee" satisfies Grover Norquist.
