My opinion as to the quandary:

its the attempt to take them, the desire that i dont get

The major differences are regional:

*The least populated areas of our country have no problem with guns-----
Fire off a round and it's lost.

*The populated areas (cities, towns and suburban sprawl) have a valid concern over who needs to fire off a round or why one needs a 30 round mag.
Every round spent in a city does damage.
There is no place for the bullet to go that doesn't damage private property or an innocent bystander.

Here's a few problems that guns present to a free country-------
Poverty has an influence on guns......(crime/robbery)
Drugs invite guns to their party......(guns are the only law to protect property)
Groups/gangs can threaten individuals/businesses.....(coercion or/and localized power).
Guns offer the ability to the individual to take a life......(this is the greatest crime/threat against Democracy/Republic/humanity).

One must have a respect for the power.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make
you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ---Ralph
Waldo Emerson
