Seriously it's more likely a charge from all the Dell Optiplex GX270 motherboards that went bad due to Nichicon capacitors or the increase in Hard drive failures (IBM/Hitachi Deathstars still fail from time to time).

Generally the GX270s with Rubycon capacitors are good and the replacement motherboards may have either brand of capacitors but presumably the replacemenet Nichicon caps are from a newer batch.

The orginal motherboards in question where shipped in Fall 2003 but many of them are still under warranty (I assume the extended warranty chargebacks go on Dells bottom line eventually).

Does anybody know who made those motherboards?
