Well, we will have to be smarter than the average person if we want to make money.

An example. There are a couple of Chinese companies out there who don't have a website in English, or, you can hardly find it, or, it looks like something from the seventies. Or, it doesn't have any pictures like SIAF! It would scare away most investors (the common sense approach we talked about earlier).

WRONG! If I was going to fleece investors and raise as much cash as possible then I would make damn sure that I have the best website available in order to attract as many mugs as possible.

These are usually companies where management focuses on operations instead of appearances. Like SIAF.

This is not an exact science but this way of thinking can help you avoid the most blatant frauds. Like CCME I guess, don't know much about them.

SIAF is not a fraud. It's more like the house of pain. So how could it possibly be a fraud? Of course that doesn't exclude the possibility that some manager at Capital Award will beef up the numbers so that he qualifies for the bonus.
This is about providing the proper incentives and effective internal control. Management stuff, that we are paying Solomon for.
