I would be concerned if it keeps coming up with errors, regardless whether or not the DFT utility can fix it. If it stops, then I'd just keep an eye on it. Are you keeping it nice and cool? That seems to be one of the common factors re: IBM failures. I have the same model, but a 40GB, that works without any problems as my imaging/storage drive, but it's in a FastSwap enclosure with its own fan for cooling, so it stays nice and cool. A lot of people think of cooling processors and video cards but forget what a dead spot hard drives can be in, focusing pockets of heat on the drive.
