sgolds, that's not necessarily true. Where I can see it coming into play is in situations where there are less extended, but not brief, periods of intensive CPU use which bogs down the system. If PowerNow! or anything else can do this on the fly without latency, then the system would perform much more smoothly, which is very attractive to most people.
