Excellent post. This quote from the article also seems to be a stretch:

Ultimately erroneous? We know there were discrepancies in coding. But what we do not know yet is how that impacts the trial. What if the final data set is consistent in substance with the initial findings? Wouldn't it be a stretch to characterize the data as "Ultimately erroneous?" Have the results of the investigation into the discrepancies been released to the public yet such that one could draw a conclusion that the data are "ultimately erroneous?"
