Dick's has 500 stores nationwide...a minnow in the land of whales...Dick's also caters to a particular type of customer...not the genralist customer....

During a recent trip to Pittsbrgh - where Dick's HQ is located, I was told -I walked into one of their flagship stores between meetings and asked to see a Mission Products display....first clerk had never heard of it...the second guy got on the PA and asked for a manager who informed me it was in their ski area! up on the second floor in the back of the store!

The guy who worked there did not know about it so we walked around the area and finally found this skinny display rack with four shelves and it said mission products!!!!!

The guy says he did not know about it since nobody had ever asked about it!!!!!

Now you tell me...what type of sales are we going to generate....very depressing.......

P.S. there is no large mission products display at the front of the store, probably the case in other Dick's outlets.......and the manager told me there was no plans to have them up front because they were not a major player at Dick's....like Nike and others....
