Glad we agree on some matters of substance.

We may have supplied Saddam with certain materials 2 decades ago, but unlike the French, German and Russian ongoing suppliers, we are doing the right (correct) thing and going in there and atoning for our past transgressions.

I am not sure war is the best way to deal with him though. What about harassing Saddam to death with perpetual inspections? IT is a hell of a lot cheaper than war. It won't destabilize the region. It won't lead to a conflict with the Chinese or Russians. Do you really think he can be building an atomic bomb with U.S. surveilance and U.N inspectors in Iraq at the same time? Having U.N inspectors in Iraq for the next twenty years would be much cheaper than any kind of war. The rush to go in and accept so many civilian casualties has turned world opinion against the U.S. Clare short is now trying to lead a rebellion in parliment against Blair and it will most likely work. A new poll shows that more Britains find Bush a bigger threat than Saddam.
