Drove through Canada recently on our semi annual treks between Michigan and Boston. First time since 911. Impressive how vibrant the economy seems there what we saw of it. Great highways, many new cars on the road, folks obeying speed limits.
Mention those observations to a recent ex-Canadian teaching in a hospital outside of Boston and she explained the secret: "Everybody in Canada pays their fair share of taxes".
However they often cross over to buy American gas and cheese-burgers.
