The numbers they reported include non-cash gains (losses) like from debt extinguishment that only exist on the paper and are accounted for in acc. to US-GAAP but do not relate much to the company's real business, hence must be substracted out in order to get meaningful (cash) earnings or non-GAAP. I always track non GAAP data b/c they are the only meaningful results for all investors including non-US investors and management who donot care much about US GAAP except for reporting purposes imo.

For example they reported net earnings of 22.725m for Q3 including 642K gains from debt extinguishment. Net, the real Q3 earnings was 22.083m, yielding a diluted eps of 24.1c, instead of 25c as reported by SIAF. If you add the last 4 quarters of non GAAP eps:

Q3 = 0.241
Q2= 0.12
Q1= 0.074
Q4'11= 0.084

you get LTM eps = 0.52. Posts on this board saying P/E was way below 1
dont really make sense to me. People should do more homework and post less garbage imo.
