What difference does it make if I own 10 mil shares or 100k shares if they're both worth the same?

The only piece that makes sense to me regarding the RS is that a RS typically only happens to stocks that are doing poorly, and they continue to do poorly even after the RS. So when one looks at the stats of stocks that RS, yes, it looks bad.

But is this becaue of the fundementals regarding a RS, or because of the stocks that are most likely to do one? I think the latter.
