Most long term investors prefer to invest in growth companies. Buying shares directly from the company require a substantial investment, usually and the shares have a one year restriction. That is why restricted shares are sold at a discount to the market. Personally, free trading shares are my preference. Adia is slowly growing market outlets and increasing their sales. It maybe a slower route but generally it becomes a stronger company.
