when ariad raised enough capital to try and make it as a stand alone company, most on this board were pleased. It seems as if the tides have turned and there is now more favoritism towards a buyout. seems as if the pros of a buyout will double, maybe even triple the share price instantly. Can someone explain what the cons of a buyout (if any) would be, opposed to a stand alone, a few years down the road?
