Sherm.....let me tell you a story about "good paying jobs".....
this is what we as a nation are up against.....
take my word for it....I'm good at what I do.....
I can manufacture a certain product and sell it for a paltry 40% GP (in the 1990's I made and sold the same product for 100% GP).....the selling price is currently $18 per unit.....
I now buy the identical product from a factory in China which ships it to the east coast and I must sell it for $12 per unit and I still make 40% on it.....THAT'S WHAT WE AS A MANUFACTURING NATION ARE FIGHTING.....
maybe some of the union advocates here or UAW, Teamsters, or SEIU members or maybe some federal government workers can shed some light on how they do that.....
to be fair....
I call it "dumping"......perhaps not truly....but, it must be Chinese government subsidized goods intended to capture the market.....then, after "we" are out of business, you'll see the prices rise overnight.....
yet, our politicians support the trade concessions to China....no corruption there right??
