If that's the case, revenue is understated. Let me give you an expample:

Let's say WTWO did 100K worth of work under a contract: that would be shown as revenue on the income statement.

Now lets say they collect 50K thats cash on the balance sheet. The other 50K is accounts receivable. 50 + 50 = 100


Cash + A/R must = revenue

So there's a problem, we need more explaination. Something is very wrong.
