how would you expect someone find this company if not by an Internet search?
I think the only way to answer that is go back before the Internet and ask how they did that sort of thing.
Best comparison I could think of would be polyethylene terephthalate.
You know what that is? You should. It is a common textile in every household in the country if not most of the world.

Polyester.

So let me test you... Without using the Internet can you tell me who created polyester? Where was the first place you heard about it?

My own answers would be I dont know who made it, but I would guess 3m or DuPont.
The second answer would be that I heard the word polyester on TV in the 70s when someone introduced the polyester suit.

So in comparison if someone wanted to invest in polyester they would probably invested in 3m or DuPont under the assumption I had.
But in order to actually be sure the investor would have to do DD.. and I am not talking about what you and I call DD... I mean using the phone to call people you know who might know something about the product.

In truth ...
Chemists, John Rex Whinfield and James Tennant Dickson, employees of the Calico Printer's Association of Manchester, patented "polyethylene terephthalate"

So exactly how would you suggest Kim make monstersilk common enough knowledge that you wouldnt need google to find it when 40 years after I heard of it I couldnt even guess who invented it.

Now forget who invented it...
Who makes it?

Can you tell me without google?

Answer: Oil companies. It is a plastic byproduct of oil.

That I did know ONLY because of 30 years of plastics experience

People should need to use google to find it.
