The market is not rational right now. If there is a fear of the cliff, common sense would elevate the gold market and depress the broader markets. I may be wrong, but it is my opinion that gold is being manipulated down for possible quick access in case we do go over the cliff. Of course just like anybody else, I am supposed to believe that things like that and illegal shorting dont happen. LOL, any and everything happens if one has the money to make it so.
