Statement regarding progress at Altos de Lipangue, Chile

Background: Amarant Mining Limited (“Amarant”) has an 85% interest stake in the Altos de Lipangue (“AdL”) project from Medinah Minerals S.A.. The property is situated on the Lipangue Plateau some 30 kilometers north of Santiago, Chile. It is located on the headwaters of the Quebrada Duranzo River. The area has been subject to reporting by local and International consultants and is an area of historic placer gold production. Amarant now wishes to bring the project into its own exploration and development system and proposes a site visit and instigation of the programme early in 2013. This will designed and supervised by Dr Michael H Smith.
