I figured you might have come out to the magic show...when you were here for the convention last year..by something you posted.. maybe I was right??

I have to say that... I hope they DO crack down on the Independents...like I stated more than a billion under reported each year...

We require all of our "Renters" to be Small Business Owners...and that is "what they are".

..we issue those 1099's each year for the Credit Cards monies that we hold in our salon account until the statements come in each month..

Anyway the "war" I stated...is going to be convencing the Workmans Comp and the City of Henderson Licensing department that these girls are set up in "their own" Small Business complete with their own business names...They write Rent checks under those business names.. they have their own Libility/Malpractice Insurance and have done justa bout everything that I have done... to be in a small business for themselves...Except pay workmans comp.

..The loophole here in Nevada is that "you can opt out of workmans comp.. if you have your own small business"

I pay for myself and also my frontdesk girls...One of my small Business's...(Head Games) pays for hers... the rest do not pay...so we will see...The kicker is...They want the Salon Owner to pay...

Commission Retail Sales is the key...for the IRS...If I decide to share those profits then we will form an llc or partnership or something along those lines..

Good thing I have some good clients...Hairdressers network real good...

To answer your question...

I have had Aveda and Sebastian makeup and skincare and tried a Private Label line in the Skin Care..called Raya lab located in California...

I carry about 40 professional product lines in my salon now..One of them is a Private Line..

P.S. I am ready to get a Pirate Flag and make a spot for my "rouge products"...I have decided to undercut the Grocery Chains and Department Store Chains by giving a 30% off on those same products that are now lining the shelves.

..watch the Sales People get mad...but then I haven't always been to popular with some of these companies...I call them on the crap they try to blaime on the Small Salon Owner...It's a joke...
