I know what the latest talking points are by reading Hap and Blue posts.

GWB never presented any evidence that Iraq had those pesky WMD; he just expected us to "trust him" - he then sent our young men/women into a pre-emptive war. Many in this country did swallow his story - for a while at least. I never, ever could understand that.

IMO, GWB lied and he knew he was doing so. George Tenet told him the WMD story is a "slam dunk", it scared the American public and helped GWB in the '02 elections. As long as GWB used "terrorism", "terrorist" in his speaches, he seemed safe.
Hopefully the party is over.
