Roy Miller – Principal, Author & Architect. Inventor of jetEngine’s™ and a mathematician with over 30 years experience as a senior systems architect and a specialist in General Systems Theory and Operations Research designing complex scheduling systems. Roy is a pioneer in the development of Type III scheduling systems with specific expertise and extensive management consulting experience in scheduling and resource management. In 1995, Roy was awarded a US patent for Resource Allocation Methods in which he authored and developed the Dynamic Adaptive N-Dimensional Scheduling engine for application to general systems in type two and three environments. In 2000, Roy joined Microsoft Corporation when it acquired a company that owned this US patent and it formed the basis for the new technology in MS Project 2002/3, a Microsoft product which currently generates in excess of $700 million in revenue annually. Roy was also a member of the Development Design Team and participated in the planning and design of the current and future generation products. He met with major Microsoft Project partners on issues relating to resource management and other strategic project management issues. Roy left Microsoft Corporation in 2003 and moved back to Toronto where he created the technology that is the basis of the jetEngine™ platform.
