A member of my extended family has been diagnosed with Stage Ib adenocaricoma of the esophagus. Age 85, male; history of acid reflux and cardiovascular disease (triple bypass performed in 1990s). First consultation with oncologist at teaching hospital next week.
What questions should be asked at the consultation? What pitfalls should be avoided?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
