Personally, I'd be up in the air about doing something or putting out good news before new years. Yes it would be a great Christmas/new years present, but management wise I think I would rather start the year off string by putting out a pr a few days or a week after new years. Communication beforehand might cause a spike, but then a trickle down from profit taking for new years. Everyone's spending over the holidays, so to be able to make some profit is what I think most people would do. Now waiting till a few days after new years might be better to do so we attract new investors a
while longs take some profit. All my opinion though.
