ABBY is an oil and gas exploration, development and production company with producing wells in the Bakken formation in Saskatchewan Canada and a development project in Richardson County, Nebraska.

The Bakken Formation is one of the one of the hottest areas in the oil business and has been called "the world's largest discovery in the last 30-40 years" with ultimate recovery now estimated at 24 billion barrels.

According to a November 8, 2012 article in Bloomberg Businessweek, U.S. output of oil and other liquid petroleum products is expected to surge by more than 80 percent through 2020.
