Yup, if I did that at work I'd be looking for work! The effects are getting less and less every time they do it. If it was really going to help anything we'd be up 300 points on equities. Just more devaluing of the dollar and making the consumer shoulder more of the entitlement burden through higher prices even though they don't admit it. So the consumer pays $2 for bread instead of 50 cents, the manufacturer charges more because labor and ingredients cost more, the farmer charges more for the wheat, and instead of paying sales taxes on the 50 cents the consumer pays sales taxes on the 2 bucks. In the end, nothing has really changed except the government has shuffled off the dollar devaluation onto someone else via inflation (which they don't know the definition of). Bald faced lie they're telling about inflation being "within expectations".

the government cannot give anything to anyone -- that they have not first taken away from someone else.
