Dave Brubeck died today December 5, 2012.

David Warren "Dave" Brubeck, December 6, 1920 -- December 5, 2011, was an American jazz pianist, composer and icon. He is considered to be one greatest progressive jazz writers of all time.

He is famous for his work "In Your Own Sweet Way" and also "The Duke". However, he is best known for this composition in this video,which is "Take Five", as performed by his Dave Brubeck Quartet.

RIP, Dave. You'll be missed. We sure need more of those like you.
