We were treated a while back to some pictures of an excavator doing some work on the "road". I'm sure it's a nice road to the hunting shack.

Actually that "road" you were treated to and no doubt scoffed at, is now a 70+ meter long adit that has been pulling out ore with an average grade above 5 gm gold/tonne that is being stockpiled in a staging area for ENAMI to pick up and process as part of their recently executed refining contract. And the adit is now less than 20 meters from reaching the high grade gold mineralization (61.77 to 455 grams of gold per tonne) from earlier drill programs.

Admittedly, the progress towards reaching the high grade gold mineralization as originally planned has been slower than anticipated. However, this has been due to the necessity to add new support timbers to the shaft as a safety precaution, since during excavation, many old tunnels were discovered that may have compromised some of the natural support of the planned tunnel.

In addition, they excavated an explosives room and had to excavate a safety room and escape hatch as is required under Chilean law.

They also had to reinforce and protect the entrance of the tunnel as a precaution from falling rock.

In addition, while all of this was going on, the geologists were busy discovering a new gold-bearing skarn zone, high-grade gold vein structures, a potential quartz stock works, high-grade copper mineralization (.49% to 7.07% copper), and the surface expression that has now been exposed containing a copper/gold breccia within the boundaries of this project area.

The geologists have traced the newly discovered highly mineralized skarn at surface (coincidentally discovered in some of the first shovelfuls of ore when Medinah was breaking ground on the Las Dos Marias claims. The skarn has been mapped at over 200 meters long, over 50 meters wide and approximately 40 meters deep with average samples of over 5 gm/tonne of gold. That ore from the skarn and the tunnel is of high enough grade that Medinah has signed a refining contract with ENAMI to pick up and process the ore which will begin shortly.

Every greenfield project has to begin with the first shovel.
