I read that article the other day - finally the patron saint of Virginia is revealed to be the man he actually was...Jefferson spent a lifetime saying one thing, but doing another - what he said is recorded in the history books, but what he actually did is not always discussed. Jefferson preached about being thrifty while he spent w-a-y over his ability when traveling in Europe, sending home expensive furniture/art work, and in the end leaving his family in deep debt was just the tip of the iceburg.
