As a matter of right, VRNG is entitled to prejudgment interest on past damages, and they're going to get it. In light of the whole verdict, prejudgment interest is a nominal part of it, but it will be granted by the Court, IMO. I expect the oppositions have to do with the amount of prejudgment interest, rather than the right of VRNG to receive it, but haven't read the responses yet.
Remember that monetarily, prejudgment interest in this case is nominal. It will increase the award of damages, but whether VRNG got it, or not, it's no game changer. IMO VRNG WILL get an award of prejudgment interest on ALL past damages. Don't sweat it! It's coming!
