I remember that one of my friends, a lawyer, told me years ago, that watching a court case was like watching grass grow. The other one I remember about time and court cases was, "What is eternity? Eternity is two lawyers waiting for each other."

Just remember, people in the legal industry consider this district to move at a pace that is so fast, that it has been called ‘The Rocket Docket’.

I can understand how it seems like things take forever plus a day. For really slow cases, you need to look at the typical Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. I owned some of Sterling Energy Resources (SGER) as it wound its way through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case and it took months, even after the reorganization plan was decided on to get the vote, approval and to exit. Another one was Rancher Energy’s (RNCH) Chapter 11 case. In both cases, it took years for the case to finish. At times with Rancher, looked like they would never get out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy and that the case was going to go on for so long that they could have ended up being liquidated.
