First off Windows XP Embedded is a dead system and even when it was alive the adoption was very poor. Microsoft will tell you not to use it.

On top of that Embedded Linus dominates that market, can you say probably 98%. Only adopters are the spencer types!

Why will they tell you not to use it. First think 2008 Intel CPUs, that is what it will run on and support. Microsoft will not commit to providing driver support for newer cpu's. If it runs, fine Microsoft will continue to take you money, if it won't run tuff, and that is where people like me come in.

If it will run on newer cpus, performance will be that of a single core 2008 cpu which with todays multi-core processors will likely be less that what was achieved with 2008 vintage hardware.

Microsoft has not made any nor will they provide any commitment to provide any form of support for the next 5 to 7 years. What they will commit do is collect $80 to $100 per cpu running in a product.

spencer use of Linux consist of using the original kinetic hack which was released under a GPL licensee.

spencer is still stuck with that 70's engineering mentality and because of that GOSY is stuck in a development purgatory and ain't ever going to get out with narcissistic spencer at the helm!
