I just couldn't stand it anymore, so I got out. I sold with a market order at 09:39:42am, and again they gave me an even number ending in zero.*
Maybe I will buy back, if the price gets much lower. But certainly not before my settlement date. Or if it goes back up then it will drive down the price of XIV, so I can buy that.*
I still expect UVXY to have its day soon, with not only the fiscal cliff, but also the raising of the debt ceiling to worry about. But I am tired of watching this go down. Now I am back to where I was two months ago.*
I have to learn how to sell quicker to cut my losses, and even to accept smaller gains if holding is too risky.*
After the debt ceiling is settled, I will certainly concentrate a lot more on XIV or SVXY. These "inverse bear shares" gain in value just by holding long, without the need for any fancy in-and-out tricks.*
A small gain is better than a big loss.*
