Question for the Board: Why the need for additional GBS studies?

Given that the first GBS study was published in The Journal of Perinatology, and the current one under review has a good chance of being published,e, why is there talk by persons such as Manley, that additional studies need to be run and published. Does every medical center have to publish its own study of GBS? I don't understand this reasoning and welcome comments.
