RE: 'Intel Inside' Needs Intel Outside

I strongly disagree. Intel's forays into hardware have frequently been a disaster. From Microma digital watches to the iSBC 80/10, Bubble Memories, the Memory Systems division, and so on.

Intel does not have the capability to market systems in competition with their customers, who have customer and product marketing organizations with years of customer relationships and expertise in the market segments.

And were Intel to acquire the expertise, it would be folly to compete in market segments with their device customers.
