ISLAND ARC APPLIES FOR A GOLD CONCESSION IN WEST AFRICA

Island Arc Exploration Corp. has filed application for a gold exploration concession in Niger. The concession applied for, Dar Es Salam, was selected for its favourable geology, exploration potential and strategic location.

Island Arc is now awaiting approval of the concession pending the final review and acceptance by the government of Niger. Formal approval of the application is subject to the discretion of the regulatory authorities in Niger, and there is no guarantee that the application will be granted. This transaction is also subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. Further details of the concession will be provided if, as and when they are received.
