I actually called the Phoenix office and spoke to the IR department. A female answered and I asked if they were in negotiation to purchase a gold mining company.

At this point she didn't say no comment but asked which company I was talking about. I told her Southridge Minerals and she stated emphatically that all rumors about Southridge was baseless.

She specifically asked which company as not to provide any false or misleading information.

There is no doubt in my mind that all the posts saying they called Southern Copper and go a "no comment" response are false.
