Do you want to know what I am kicking myself about? When I was a kid, I read my dad's Field & Stream magazines, and really loved to read the classifieds at the back of each magazine. All kinds of neat advertisements, but one always caught my eye, the ad stated "Buy land in Montana and Wyoming for .01 per acre" and as I recall it was to be purchased directly from the US government. However I am not sure if it was a government advertisement or a company that helped you buy from the government. Anyway I asked my father if I should try and purchase some of the land from money I made on my paper route. He stated it was a valid advertisement and I could buy the land, but that it would never be worth anything, my dad was not an investor!....LOL Of course he was wrong, God bless his soul, he has passed away. But being thirteen I took his word for it, I really just wanted the land because I loved the outdoors, but often wonder how much I would have had with a thousand dollar purchase. There probably was a limit on the amount of land you could purchase, but that was my first shot at penny stocks...LOL However I am sure it was not a scam, I wish I could say that for this investment...
