PRESCOTT, Ariz. - A federal judge will decide whether wastewater will be used for snowmaking on San Francisco Peaks, a site sacred to American Indians who held ceremonies and gathered medicine plants on the mountain peaks long before the first skiers slid down the Arizona Snowbowl's slopes. Arizona Indian tribes and environmental action groups are asking a federal court to halt the Coconino National Forest's plan to use the city of Flagstaff's recycled water for snowmaking on the peaks near Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon. >:)
