BACKGROUND
Bella Petrella’s paid $2.6 million for Westshore Pizza franchising parent company Philly Westshore Franchising Enterprises Inc., $1.1 million for Bobby V’s Original Philly Westshore Pizza LLC, which operates the original company-owned location, and $800,000 to buy Vasaturo Holdings LLC, which owns the real estate on South West Shore Boulevard and Bay Court Avenue where the original Westshore Pizza restaurant is located. Bella Petrella’s plans to introduce its “heart-friendly” sauces to Westshore Pizza’s menu but will not alter its flavor profile

John Whitman, CEO of Bella Petrella’s (OTCQB: BTHR), said he bought Westshore Pizza because it was undervalued and had longevity. Westshore Pizza has been growing in the Tampa Bay area for 18 years so it’s a well-recognized brand, he said.

Whitman also sensed a concept that could be duplicated in other markets.

Westshore Pizza has 34 franchised locations in Tampa Bay and three in Ohio, in addition to its original company-owned location.

Bella Petrella’s Holdings Inc. trades on the OTC:QB under the symbol BTHR. The company is not selling any shares and only registered with selling shareholders. CEO John Whitman funded the company.
