My concern with opening bell and these volume spikes stocks is this: it will surge more, you get excited, within 30 to 40 minutes it plunges, your heart drops, then the battle ensues where it meanders within a small range all day. I have learned to wait for the dust to settle after 30 to 60 minutes. I have talked myself into observing the pricing action for awhile and if it doesnt seem like the price will turn into a disaster and volume remains astronomical, then I hop on. But what do I know.
